Michael Bailey presented a paper in the DIA Systems Track of Coding/Dictionary Management Tools entitled "The Lexicon – One CRO’s Experience Using Dictionaries in Clinical Trials Data Management," detailing BSI’s experience using medical vocabularies in clinical data management.

Kirk Hicks, Eric Rathman, Michael Bailey, and Don Crone participated in the "Electronic Data Capture Olympics," conceiving and programming an Electronic Data Capture System from a previously unseen set of Case Report Forms, thirty hours being allowed for the task.

Don Crone presented the results of BSI’s efforts in the "Electronic Data Capture Olympics."
